Front lowering springs
My Truck has been dropped 2" in front by the P/O the cheap way, by torching the springs and it's pretty uneven 29 D/S and 30 P/S....it rides bad too. So I'm about ready to do a front end rebuild but the last thing I have to buy is two new front springs.....Here is the question, can I buy and fit just the 2" drop springs on there own to give me the same ride height I have now (albeit and even one), or would I need to buy shorter front shocks as well?
In short, whats the lowest you can go in front with drop springs before you need to change the shocks?? Immm!!! why didn't I say that in the beginning?

Re: Front lowering springs
Hey Nigel,
why not lower it with 2.5" drop spindles??....with that you can stay with a stock spring....or if you wanna go lower you can use a lowered spring....not sure how low to go with different shocks....hope this helps some???

Re: Front lowering springs
Thanks Geoff...that was another question I had. Can you lower the front just using drop spindles? which you have now answered.

Re: Front lowering springs
Geoff, the only problem is that a pair of drop spindles from cpp are $204, and 2" drop springs are $90...but that may even out, if I find out that I definately need to buy shorter front shocks.

Re: Front lowering springs
You will be fine running stock shocks with 2 inch drop springs. I speak from experience on multiple trucks.

Re: Front lowering springs
Stock shocks will be OK. 2" drop springs are easy to align too, and ride nice.
