402BB PS Pressure hose help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I need the PS pressure hose for a 72 2wd 402 BB truck. Anybody have a part # I can give NAPA to cross reference or a source for this? A couple of years ago I got one no problem, now it seems not to exist.

If looking for a direct stock appearing replacement to my knowledge there is not one in the correct configuration (long metal tube that follows the frame) you may try advance or some other if not want "correct"- if you want the right hose Pickemup is the only one that has the correct piece reproduced.

while not anwering the question, i CAN say the one from LMC is lame. Real thin metal, needing a lot of tweaking, and I doubt it'll last long. (72 402)

A local Industrial hydraulic shop can build one for you. They would need the old one for a reference.

Napa has two hoses listed for the 72 BB. NPS 71634 and NPS 71531. I don't know which one is correct as they both show the same ends in one description but show one has a male and one a female pressure port. I would get both to see which one would work for your truck.

i never could find one that i liked so like they said couple post before.. i took my old line to a hydralic shop and they just put on a new rubber part.. used the same hard line.. cost $33 but then i knew it wasnt no junk

The ones that Napa and other parts stores have are incorrect. A hose shop is the way to go to have one made up.
