Nice details to keep the 'theme' going. Definitely done by someone w/an artistic mind-set.

The wear pattern of paint shows it is the original paint from the factory.

Man that is sweet. I love the air-cleaner, guitar neck and headstock, and bottle-opener. That bed is sweet though.

Re: Found this truck during All Wheels Weekend today. Must see.

Thanks for posting the pic's of my truck. I'm Marv the owner of this 62 GMC and bass player for the band RETREAD. This truck was built to make people smile and to promote the band. It is built on a 66 GMC frame with Chevy 1/2 ton clip, rearend, steering and brakes. The paint is in a state of natural patina however the pinstripes and door logos are new. The bumper, as someone guessed, is from a 67 Camaro and narrowed 7". I have a rebuilt 350/700r4 combo running gear P.S P.B. tilt colume and new stereo. The guitar neck is just Like the one that I play in the band. The air cleaner is an old aluminum Ludwig 14" snare drum and very functional. The gas pedal is an old Slingerland bass drum pedal. In the back the bed has 64 plates with at least one from each of the 50 states. The shift knob is an old Sure mic. I put 59 Caddy tail lights on it being held with claw like "hands" made of bolts welded together mounter with 3/4" pipe. The "vinyl" headliner is mad-up of records, 45's and CD's but not pictured in the post. I lowered the truck 6" with dropped spindals and flipped leaf springs. I had to "C" notch the frame and drive shaft hole for clearance. I like the turtle it was a gift so I stuck it on. Enjoy

Here is a picture of the “vinyl” headliner and some other photos too. On the door of the truck is our band logo. If you look close you see the phone number is 867-5309 and of course this is from the song Jenny. The date on the door is June 9, 1969. This is the day I graduated high school and it reminds me of the music I loved back then and play now. I made a license plate guitar to go along with my truck and put a tire tread stripe on my bass. I included a couple pic’s of my 62 Impala SS as well. Rock On! Marv
