Rear 3/4 ton springs

Ok my 3/4 ton is a pretty rough ride along all my local roads. Im thinking about taking a few leafs out of the rear to maybe soften it up. What all would that do? Has anyone else done anything in this area? Pics maybe?

Re: Rear 3/4 ton springs

If you don't carry loads very often you could look into swapping to 1/2 ton springs.

My truck is a 3/4 ton camper special and I have the same problem, my wife gripes every time she rides in it. With about 5 to 8oo lbs in the bed it starts to ride pretty good.

I have a one ton, same problem. IF I CAN EVER FIND BUSHING FOR THE &*%$ING SPRINGS, I'm going to lose probably 2 leaf's and see how it rides.

Re: Rear 3/4 ton springs

Yeah mine rides pretty good with some weight in it. I had a 1.4 ton of rock and it rode like a Cadillac. Are half ton springs the same length? What about ride heighth.
