what do you think....
I am going to attempt to swap my cab off my old frame to my nice clean rolling chassie. Just wondering what a bare cab would weigh. I have 5 buddies and my self to do it , does that sound crazy? any help would be great..

I'm 5'9" 140lbs and can bench about 150-160 and a fully stripped cab can be picked up by myself and 1 other person with alot of effort, 4 people on a complete cab is about the same as 2 on a fully stripped cab so 5 should be just fine 3 on the front 2 on back of cab as these cabs are nose heavy.

We had four guys and it was pretty easy. The cab was really bare...no doors or glass.

They are pretty light when you get them stripped...oh wait, I was using a fork lift. Just kidding, I had 3 other people help me load it on the back of a tow truck. Its a little awkward, and may I suggest using leather gloves. Those rockers can be pretty sharp. Good luck,
John

Thanks everybody but I decided to hold off till this weekend. I was a little scared being how the cab has the doors on, and all the bodywork is done, and it is painted. Oh yeah, thought it might be a little high to put on the frame with the 4in susp lift. My budy has a lift, Im just gonna weight till this weekend and do it at his place. Thanks anyway everybody . John

Since you'll be using a lift, you'll want to run a 4X4 pice of wood through the doors instead of a rope or chain.
Although, I think I would still remove the doors though. |

Ya, two guys can lift a stripped cab. Also, with door removed, I use a engine host attached to seat track mounting holes, still need two guys, one to move the hoist, other to hold cab steady.
