Universal Lowering block

Hey,

I went down today and bought my self a UNIVERSAL lowering block kit from the local parts store. Well after installing the blocks, i went to go put the u bolts on.... Well they definatly dont work, they are too wide and too short

I just want re-assurance that these are the wrong u-bolts, or am i doing somthing wrong??






too wide

but they work this way???????????????????

I would say wrong U bolts. See how they are round on mounts at the top of your spring if you reverse them and put a plate across the top of your springs it MIGHT bolt up. You should have square top u bolts like the originals.

Another thing if you mount the block between the top of the diff and the bottom of the spring your raising the truck.

Lowering on your set up you would transfer the diff on top of the springs. I don't think the block is going to help you.

That is Correct, You need a Rear Shackle Drop Kit to Lower the Rear with a Leaf Spring Set Up like you Have. That will be much easier than relocating the Axle above the Springs........

Just take that Kit Back & Look for a Shackle Drop Kit.

Thats what i asked when i opend up the box in the store, he said it pulls the axle up to the springs, Im pretty close with the guys that work there os if it doesnt work out i can always return it, thanks for the info ill go back tomarrow
