Re: what have you done this week ?

Cut a patch panel and began welding it in where the original fuse block wiring passed through the firewall. Also cut some threaded bar stock to mount the new American Autowire fuse block in place.
Had to dial in my welder for use in the home garage, and now I've got to grind down some excess slag from where I attached the first piece of threaded rod.

Removed the water pump and applied sealant on both sides of the gaskets to prevent any leaks. Same done to the thermostat housing gasket.

This week was no exception.

It is busy the season here on the farm with mowing, bush-hogging and ice storm cleanup still going on.

I had a dentist appointment and my wife had two.

I serviced my Husqvarna lawn tractor, removed the camper from the '92 K-3500 duallie and put a new blower motor resistor in the '86 4-Runner.

My son and I put a better hood on my '71 C-10 farm truck.

We finished replacing all the rusty sheetmetal in the floor of my grandson's '63 and painted the interior.

Working on the '63 is a joint venture with my son, grandson and I working on it. We are teaching my grandson how to work on these old trucks. Actually I am learning a lot also working with them.

Last but not least my wife and I have been trying to get our stuff together to take a trip out to the West Coast later this week to see family and friends.

As usual I rambled some, huh?

Danny

Where on the West Coast are you headed? There are some great shows coming up around Southern California...

Re: what have you done this week ?

I got a lot done, I had last week off and it RAINED 6 of 8 days so it was perfect shop weather!
1) Started on the toolbox door I got on this site, sandblasted today and cut sheet-metal patches.
2) Fiberglassed the small hole in the toolbox.
3) Did some sanding on the cab.
4) Pulled the seats and painted the floor in my '75 Pontiac.
5) Detailed the A/C box on my '72 El Camino.
6) Slept in EVERY DAY!
7) Ate out EVERY NIGHT! I will love retirement in 8 years!
