I just found this site and I'm loving every minute of it. This is my 1970 Chevy blazer. I just added a 4 inch tough country lift and dropped in a brand new 350 crate motor from GM. Overall there isnt much rust except for the normal spots. I'm just getting my transfer case back in. I should've put it in before I put the lift on becuase that thing is heavy. I running a turbo 350 trans with a NP203 transfer case. I wanted a 205 but this one I got was just rebuilt and had the conversion kit put in to allow two wheel drive. I have boy scout camp this week but next week I'm pulling it out of the garage to sand the tub. here are some pics when I got it and what it looks now. still a work in progress

I also have the 203 part time kit in one of my Blazers - be sure to put it into 4x4 every few hundred miles to keep the front axles lubed up...

I have more pics but for some reason when I try to attach it keeps coming up as failed. I've tried a few times now so if you guys know why this happens then let me know.

I drove by that body all the time and I was wondering where it went when I drove by it over the 4th of July.

That body was a pretty good deal!!!
I kept thinking about calling on it but never had any time to go look at it.

ya i drove by it for about a year and half and didnt even think it would be worth looking at and then one day i was over there and i just got a itch to take a look at it and its a very rust free body that has not been cut up it just needs the outers on the floor replaced and the quarters fixed ive got a guy up in perry that is going to attemp to pull them quarters out this weekend but if i dont like them ill just put new quarters on it i cant complain i got it for $100 bucks. and the bed floor has to be the best looking one ive ever seen except for some holes that are drilled in it.

Looks like a pretty solid starting point. Congrats on the find. Welcome from San Antonio. Is that the 260 HP GM crate motor. I'm running that motor and it runs awesome. Well, the furthest i've driven is about 4 blocks, but it did run awesome. Take more pics and post. We love pics here. Later.

Well, you obviously didnt get that 70' from Logan valley

. Shoot, my 72 spent its whole life in Ca. and it had more rust on the floor boards than that. I just helped move a family from here to Logan in the last week of June; if I knew you were there, Id have stoped by. You live in a beutiful place! Have fun at Scout camp and keep up the good work on that Blazer.

Does anyone know how to hook up the Vacuum Modulator line? Is this the correct one for a automatic 350 transmission? If anyone could help that would be great. Also, if you have a picture of what it should look like that would even be better. Thanks

That's it alright. The end with the 90 degree bend connects to a brass fitting behind the carb on the manifold. the other end goes down to the modulator. You'll need to get some hose for the ends. Hope this helps. Later

Does someone have a picture of what the shifter looks like coming off the transfer case? The whole on the transmission cover doesnt match up to the one that I got so I think I have the wrong one. I need pictures with the transmission cover off so I can see the shifter coming off the transfer case. Please specify what type of transfer case you have as well.

If the shifter lever is not going through the floor you might need to cut and weld it. You got any pics of your problem?
