Power Steering Upgrade

I know there have been several threads about the changing over to power from manual steering. However, I just got off the phone with my dad. We picked up a power steering gear and pump from a 75. I have a 70 2wd. He has removed the old steering box. But the new one will not mount up to the frame. The problem according to him, The frame only has three hole and the new box has four studs??? I thought i read in the threads that the 75 box would mount right up with out any problems????
Did i misread something? Some assistance would be appreciated. I know it would help if i had pics. I will have some sunday.
Thanks.

Re: Power Steering Upgrade

It should mount up with know problems. Even my 67 frame had four holes to mount the box to. I did however have to trim my radiator support mount to get it to line up with all four holes

Re: Power Steering Upgrade

thanks for the reassurance guys. Here are some pic's my mom just took with her camera phone. I see the problem now. The four holes are there. I dont think he tried to mount up the new steering box. It looks like the bumper brace is missing which would be the reason for the additional hole. The foremost hole. The frame needs to be cleaned up. I included a stock photo that i found on another thread. there is one additional small hole vs. the stock photo. It is towards the top.

Here is the photos my mom sent.

This is the photo someone sent me from an earlier thread. It has a step by step with photos. I dont know why i didnt run across this the other night.
