WI. swap meet haul. Parts pics.

Went to the iola swap meet this week and was able to find some parts. I met one board member there (mike) and hauled some parts for him from here. Very long drive and lots of walking. No regrets. I know there are a few other members that went or are there now, lets see what other pics show up here. Enjoy, Eric

Re: WI. swap meet haul. Parts pics.

I think there are around 4400 vending spots and around 1200 used vehicles. We walked from about 6 am till about 8:30 pm. We saw most of the vending spots, but didn't get to look at all of them if you know what i mean.
There are some good deals there, but you have to remember how far it is back to the truck if you buy something. I would hate to guess how many miles were walked that day...I can still feel it.

Re: WI. swap meet haul. Parts pics.

I made it this weekend to Iola, and put on about 10 miles in walking I think. Picked up my door and trailing arms from too much stuff and bought a few other minor things. Got some black upper trim moulding, some running light lenses and a box of misc emblems for $20. I almost bought some 049 big block heads, but didn't want to haul them 2 miles back to the truck, so I passed on them, maybe next year I will bring a hand cart! My '71 GMC made it there and back with no problems other than using a lot of gas, all in all putting about 500 miles on for the whole weekend.
Next is the Elkhorn swap meet and then fall Jefferson, than the season is over!
Thanks Eric (too much stuff) for the door and trailing arms, they are in better than expected condition!!!!!

Mike

Glad you liked the parts and it sounds like you had a good time.
