New 1970 Chevy Truck owner in Bakersfield CA

Hello Everyone,
This is my first Chevy Truck ever. Let me give you guys a bit of history. My first car was a 1974 Chevy Malibu Chevelle Classic with an inline 6cyl. 250 single barrel. Man I miss that car. I then moved towards the Honda's, Nissan pickup & Mustang. I thought I would never get into the ownership of a full size truck just because of it's gas guzzling ability. But I got this truck at a fairly good price and I could not pass up. I can do basic automotive repairs but my lack of tools prevent me from doing more than what I can. Plus I'm a lazy ass. I work best with company and friends that can help or at least take interest in doing things like this project. I hope that joining this forum can help me get this bad boy up and running again.

Re: New 1970 Chevy Truck owner in Bakersfield CA

Thanks! I'm going to need all the luck with this project. All it needs that I know of to get her started is clean out the fuel tank, new seat, probably new brakes, new radiator, new battery, fresh tune-up and some tires. That is what I know so far to get her running. The past owner got it running before with a battery and radiator from another truck. After that it's off to the paint shop.
