Question my 67 with a white top ? WONDERING ? how it would look ?

well ? how do you think that it would look with a stock 67 white top ? on 67's it was only the top that was painted white and did not come down onto the front windshield post's , all I would have to buy is the chrome strip for the back of the cab , just thinking about it , truck has white grille insert's white headlight ring's and white bumpers too ,,,

Just don't put a rotating red light on top! LOL Seriously, I think it would look real sharp.

I like it as is. If it ain't broke ,don't fix it!!! It would look good either way. If that is the way it came stock, it would be hard for me to change it.
Just my 2 cents.

I like two tones personally and as a owner of a black and white truck I say go for it. I like the 67 white top and while your truck looks great as it is, a white top would really make it pop imo.

I think it would look great either way, but I'm in favor of leaving it as it is. That is one great looking truck, and it doesn't need improvement.

I have to agree with Red72C10. It would look good either way but solid Black trucks in these years just spin my wheels.

That is one classic looking truck you have there. Love the spare tire holder and the outside mirror. Leave it, IMO.

This is the best I can do with that picture (lots of reflections). My vote is for the white top.

I would paint the top white, as I love two-tone factory style paint jobs

Hard call, but I think I'd leave it alone... Well that's not true, I can't leave anything alone, but I would leave it black!

If you were having to repaint the truck then I would say change it, but other than that I would leave it be.

It looks like it may just be a shadow from one of the trees.

I was asking about the white part that looks like a lower extension to the license plate or something.

Re: my 67 with a white top ? WONDERING ? how it would look ?

Leave the paint alone. The more you mess with it, the more you risk creating a problem that was not there before. If you want to break up the black, maybe switch the trim/bumpers over to the polished trim/chrome bumpers. That would be real sharp.

Re: my 67 with a white top ? WONDERING ? how it would look ?

I don't own a truck that isn't two- tone so I am obviously a BIG fan, with that said I think you should leave it - as the all black looks tight. I think a 4/6 drop with some nice BIG WIDE WHITE WALLS on 17 or 18's would look perfect.

Here is a before and after of my 68' - maybe it will help your decision - rw

I'd leave the top black. Maybe black bumpers and full moon hubcaps if you're bored.

the little plate on the bottom is an original county tag from 67 , it is a BUCHANAN COUNTY tax tag , you got them when you paid your county tax's , it is the only 1967 one I know of ,

my truck is registered with 1967 TRUCK license plate's , in the 60 VA. put a T
in the first digit on all truck's , car tag's did not have the T ,

Re: my 67 with a white top ? WONDERING ? how it would look ?

I like it just the way it is. My 2-cents worth: Leave it alone.

The US Army Corps of Engineers, who oversee Bull Shoals & Norfork Lakes & the dams & rivers here, used all-black Chevy trucks with white tops for years, starting with the early-60's vintage models & ending with late '70's. All were "COPO" type absolutely stripped-down models, with heaters being about the only option. There were many stepsides with the utility boxes for rear fenders, etc. No fleetsides, ever.

There were dozens & dozens of them here for years, as they were sold-off after the Corps used them up. Farmers & contractors bought them & used them some more, for another couple hundred thousand miles or so.

I always disliked that 2-tone skunk look, personally.

Then they later went with puke-green S-10's. What an "improvement."
