Is it spot welded to the dash?

Re: trying to install Yearone radio...

Pull your glovebox and the radio will come out thru there.

I agree, don't bust the ash tray track out. There has to be another way to get the radio out.

It's tight, but you will come out with no problem.

Re: trying to install Yearone radio...

Ended up, diconnecting the hoses to the defrosters, and slid it to passenger side, then out...so I didn't even have to remove the glovebox...

NOW I have another problem, PO had a wire running from + terminal on coil to radio, and was spliced in a couple differnt places with other wires...took that wire out and wired radio to fuse box...radio works great, but when I try to start the truck it dies as soon as you let the key pop back to "run"

Where should that + terminal coil wire go to?

Re: trying to install Yearone radio...

I ended up running that wire from the + terminal of the coil to the "run" side of the ignition, and all is well again...Gus is running, and singing his tunes now.

Thanks guys,
