Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Are you planning on shaving the side markers? I was thinking about recessing the lens in to sit flush with the panel, or using some smaller lens and filling in the large hole. Shaved would look so clean and nice, but then you have no reflective material on the side of the truck, which is about as long as the broad side of a barn.

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
hey.....saw the mat you had draped over the engine on.....hope that's not the brand of plugs you plan to run.
chrysler products do best with champion plugs, but the best replacement for a GM is a/c delco plugs. different part store chains carry different brands of plugs. pep boys has them....got a set for the 307 in my 72 burb.....i don't mess around by using the wrong brand in a vehicle. ford is especially picky when it comes to plugs..... |

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Got a really good deal on a pair of BFG radial's, The ad said 265-50r-15 so I figured they wouldn't be to far off from my 275's, But when I got there they where 295's butI said oh well it was to good of a deal to pass up
They where brand new still had the UPS shipping stuff on it and still had the stickers and blue paint stuff and got them $50 for both of them Then today went up to the Classic Chevy store and picked up some 6 in drop springs and got them on alot faster then I thought I would, Took less than a hour. Still have to cut the fronts, Im just cutting them until I can afford some spindles and springs. Well here it is Before |

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Well, my truck got hit again, same spot in the driveway by my dad this time.
So thats my new project. And here are my plans for now Since im starting my Senior year in a couple days and its my last year at Vo-Tech, Im going to try to take my truck and get the rest of my bodywork done and get it painted before the end of the year. Im going to shave all the emblem holes antenna hole(started on that a long time ago and got sidetracked and its still not done) Might replace my other rocker since it has a little rust on the lip Might shave the stake holes and maybe the tailgate latch |
