Gas tank Grommet

I was wondering if it is possible to replace gas tank grommet,with out removing tank.

I did it on my 64 (same grommet) the hard part is getting it into the cab hole. I used dish soap (because it had new paint) and then forced it in with a wood paint stirrer. But, it wasn't easy.

I replaced mine with the tank in already...I used dish soap too and I wrapped a small rope around the gasket and while my brother pushed the gasket from the outside, I uncoiled the rope from the inside...worked like a charm!!!
