speaker options?

Hey guys, haven't been here in awhile.

Just picked up a 1969 Chevy short bed.

I would like to get some good speakers in it, but am not sure what my possibilities are.

What have others installed, and where?

Re: speaker options?

Not so much looking for brand recommendations, but what size and where to put them.

Thanks

Re: speaker options?

IMO, don't cut any holes in the doors for speakers. Maybe a pair of 3.5 inchers under the dash in the center and some of those new plastic kick panels that have the holes in them already for you to mount 6.5 inchers. Then, maybe some low profiles subs under the seat or behind the seat if you have moved the gas tank already?

Re: speaker options?

Frizzlefry made some boxes that fit in the kickpanels for his suburban. Used fiberglass. Look up his thread, step by step instructions anyone can follow.
