Re: Is it worth the money?

Based on those two pics, I'd say no.

I'd say yes if the body has zero rust, it runs decent, stops safely, turns ok and if he will take $4,000.

Re: Is it worth the money?

a true zero rust?//all the AC looks to be gone whats the primer hiding you'd need to look to see if it's an original or an assembled parts truck// i'd thik 2000-2500 would make it alot more interesting

Re: Is it worth the money?

I would question the AC part since there is no AC parts visible and a standard heater box will not fit correctly over the holes in an AC firewall.

I thought the firewalls are the same for both a/c and heat only trucks? Am I mistaken? I know the dashes are different and a couple of extra holes in the cowl area for the a/c fresh air intake, but was sure the firewall itself is the same.

If the truck is rust free and runs and drives....I don't think that he is too far out of line in the area (Chicago is infamous for it's rusty cars) it's located.

I think it may be worth it but youd have to see it in person and drive it to no for sure

Re: Is it worth the money?

The holes behind the heater box are different and in a factory AC, the heater core is under the dash and the evaporator is under the hood. What is pictured does not appear to be an AC box. But the picture is rather dark.

I got some pretty high $ offers for my truck back when I lived in NY (mostly rust free and in primer at the time) and now down here in SC I usually just get "nice truck."

If it truely is rust free, his price is actually reasonable for that area, a little high, but reasonable.
