Blazer side panels...

Any interest in these being produced? I now have a 5' x 10' CNC router table that I could program to cut these out. Just throwing it out there. Later, Mark

Re: Blazer side panels...

Current repro panels sell for around $500.00 bucks, get the price under that and you could corner the market.

Are you talking about making just the backer board that needs to be covered or would there be a design on them?

How tough is something that large & thin going to be to ship?

I guess the only thing I can produce is the backer.

Re: Blazer side panels...

A lot of people avoid a soft top because of having to drill holes in the windshield frame. A few people have come up with a piece kind of like the leading edge of the hard top that bolts to the windshield using the stock hardware then affix the soft top to it to avoid having to drill holes.

Could you design and make something like that with your machine?

Are we talking about the interior side panels or something for the top like quoted above? I got a little confused.

If they are for the inside rear panels, here is an example from roddoors, heck I would even be excited about a person to manufacture a reusable template:

Re: Blazer side panels...

Yukon was asking if I could produce another product with the machine that I have, which sounds like a great idea. I will be pulling my top off soon, I can check that out. One thing I was angling for on the panels was the fact that I can produce these from material that doesn't rot or mold IF it accidentally gets wet. A substrate like PVC, Lexan, or FRP. Interesting ideas here...

Re: Blazer side panels...

Once the pattern and dimensions are programmed, they could be used on a lot of materials. If they were cut into a paintable material, so they could be matched to body or interior color, great. Or an aluminum diamond plate, or aluminum flat sheet, with a scroll or custom patterns cut into them. Plain steel ones with doors for storage, etc. etc.
