I was going to install in the dash but didn't have the heart to do it so this is what I am going with.I figured I'm not taking up leg room because the lever is there

Looks good, but is the radio in the way of the heater outlet? You live up in the NE, it gets pretty cold to block off your heater outlet. Trevor

looks great!!!!

I would of just cut the dash as you are looking down for a radio station and rear end somebody then you will wish you cut the dash

there is enough room for the heat

I actually use the sirius s50 for radio which I will mount beside the radio facing up

I 2 wd no in 4 wd yes but this truck will see very little dirt

Did you build the box? If so, do you have any dimensions for it?

Also was the box to tall to mount the amps on top?

I built the box last year so I don't really remember the dimensions-it was alot of trial and error.the boxfills the whole space under the seat so I mounted the amps where the jack goes

i'm just gonna get one of the those retro chevy bowtie radios custom styled for the 67-72 trucks....not the one with the tape deck, just the aux input equipped unit for using an mp3 player. will do the high tech dual speaker in stock dash location and flush mount a couple 6x9's in the headliner at the rear. i like that you chose to save the dash and put the radio in a unique place. hopefully your new stereo comes with a remote!
