do a setup like i used to have 2.5 inch pipe all the way back and depending if you want performance or not it is your choice for mufflers or glass packs and put it out att the back of the truck.

FlowMasters or the Pro Flow series mufflers. Run the pipes over the rear end, and out each side behind the rear wheels. An awesome thunder sound that is balanced. I've had this set up for awhile and get comments ALL the time.

i'm going with the hooker exhaust system with aerochamber mufflers from summit racing for 200 plus shipping. aerochambers will sound better than flowmasters. a little more quiet at idle but when you hit the go peddle they come alive but they are still not obnoxous like flows. can't wait to get rid of the interior resonance.

You will probably want to run 2 1/2" pipe behind the axle somewhere. Ditch the cherry bombs for some different muffler of your choice and I would reccomend installing an equalizer tube, makes the exhaust sound cleaner and adds a bit of torque.
I think that a Flowmaster system could be had for less than $300 with an equalizer tube, maybe go with the 50 series if you don't want something real loud.
