Back bumper and hitch.
I'm looking for a new back bumper and hidden hitch for my 68 C20 LB custom camper. Does anyone know if you can use the oem spare tire carrier and still install the hidden hitch like on Brothers web site. I'd like to keep it under the bed like original. Also, does anyone sell the rear bumper brackets for the 68 longfleetbed with heavy leaf springs. Brothers told me #2000 but that lists for a coil spring setup. Thanks. Jim

Re: Back bumper and hitch.
You should be able to. The hitch mounts in the frame rails and should be far enough back. I have the same type hitch only it comes out with a flat bar under the bumper. The only mod I had to make was putting an angle iron bracket on the ouside of the frame rail to allow the spare to sit slightly forward. I had to use a smaller tire so it would not hit the panard bar. but it works. You will need to slightly bend the spare tire bolt to remove it without taking the bed bolts out.

Re: Back bumper and hitch.
I don't have a panhard bar. Mines a leaf spring rearend. Anybody know if the hidden hitch works with the spare carrier on that setup. Thanks for the responce though. Your fix would probably work for me also. Jim

Re: Back bumper and hitch.
Check "Brothers", they have a hidden receiver that bolts to the frame; & the crossmember on the hitch is located all the way to the rear.
