http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/pts/1345419279.html

Are these really worth $800 or is this just another dreamer? Not mine.

I really don't think this fellow has a prayer to sell the rims for any price....well maybe if they have some high tread tires on them.

And wouldn't a 69 camper special be a ford anyways? He can't even read the badges on his truck.

I got about $3 each at the scrap yard.
Maybe $2 I can't remember, I spent the money on beer.

One thing I've come to find out on Craigs list. Everyone thinks they've got a gold mine or an antique worth tons of money.

Geeze, it seems like this kind of garbage happens on the list way too much. Everybody should reply to him with a low ball price... I don't think he would appreciate it too much.

That would be funny, poor guy gets a hundred responses with offers for $3 per rim. I must have too much time on my hands today.

Re: Why are these rims $800?

Holy crap. There is a reason people throw them things away. The stories of them blowing apart are true. If they're so great, why are they not made any more? I love the part about how easy it is to change a tire without a tire changing machine. I giggled a little at that. I'd give him $8 for the whole set. I might get 10 at the scrap yard for them.
