maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
Just had to share. Took my 17 mo. old son out today for his first "cruise". He normally cries when he hears the truck start up and take off. After doing some work on the seat belts and getting the car seat in tight, I decided to take the little booger with me. Needless to say I was super stoked and proud when he didn't cry. He loved it. I even had him laughing as I was jacking on the throttle going down the highway. Gentlemen.....I think we have another one on our team!!!!

Cool man, way to start him early. My four year old daugter gets the first ride in my truck when it gets back on the road...

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
Up until today, this pic was all he got. Now I realize that I have the freaking "Willy Wonka Golden Ticket to Cruise". Now when my wife asks what I'm going to do later on, I can say "spend a little time with my son!" My daughter and her have the horses and Jr and I have the horsepower!!!

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
Awesome!
I wanted to have my truck finished before my son was born. Didn't happen. Maybe I'll be able to take him for a ride on his 1st birthday. (he's 5 months old ) |

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
I wanna say it's listed as a '67 side mirror. I think all the LMC, GMC Paul, etc places have them. I think the truck is supposed to have a square one from the factory but I think the round one looks better. Thanks for the question.

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
Definitely too cool! Won't be too long (they grow up waaaaay too fast!) before you can start a father/son build on his truck!

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
That may prove to be one expensive ride. You just may lose your truck over it, if not you will be buying him one!

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
I wish they started me that early...my Dad still thinks cars [or trucks] are a Point A to B kind of matter.
Your son will appreciate this when he's older. Congrats! |

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
Actually, he's getting the 67 Fastback. And what's really cool is that I will get to enjoy it for 15 years before he is old enough. Can you say 347 roller stroker??
