Re: parking lights go out
My '67 does that too. I think the idea was that you would not need the orange parking lights on when the headlights were on. At Drive-In movies, you used the parking lights only to drive to your spots so as not to disturb the viewers!!

Re: parking lights go out
67 and older are supposed to do that.
Thats why they were called parking lights, used when you park/stand. |

Re: parking lights go out
If you want the parking lights to stay on get a newer front harness (70-72) and the parking lights will stay on. It could be in the switch too. Nost sure what makes it happen. Don't know what year of light switch I have but I do know I have a 70 harness and my parking lights are always on now.

Re: parking lights go out
I can't really answer that because I don't know what year of switch I am using.

Re: parking lights go out
in 1968 federal standard's mandated that the park light's burn all the time , and also that vehicle's have side marker's ,
JUST ONE MORE OF THE COOL THINGS ABOUT A 67

Re: parking lights go out
theres a thread somewheres on here that shows which two wires on the switch harness to splice together to have them stay on with the lights on. I think its purple to brown but look it up just to be sure.
lap belts were mandatory but I dont think shoulder belts were even an option in 67
