i am in the process of finding the right color for my 68sw i want to make it diffrent but also want it to attract other people then me incase i would want to sell in the future and well i know i have seen some nice ass trucks that i just wouldnt be caught drivin because of the color but some ideas or maybe computer paint jobs would be nice to give me an idea of what to do and does is it a smart idea to put a front roll pan on seeing as you have to cut the horns to install it ? or will this decrease the value ? thanks for the help and here is a pic of the truck

Resale red. You will like it and so will everyone else. Not different but best choice overall.

Re: need some advise pls help

I knew a guy that restored cars for a living, and he put out some super looking stock restored muscle cars.

I was looking through his photo album of all the cars he did, and I noticed that most were painted black. He told me that the color black sold faster than any of the other colors he did, and went on to say red sold well but took longer.

He would always say that a classic V8 American car painted black was just too sexy for people to pass up, and there were no arguements about the shade of color wasn't just right for the perspective buyer.

I also have a soft spot for black. Everything of my own that I have ever painted has ended up black. My blazer will end up being orange, although it would look sooooooo good black! If you want to sell it stay away from stripes or any "trendy" colors. I knew a guy once with a 69 chevy truck. It was white with flames, and looked good! Couldn't give it away. Sanded down the front clip and painted over the flames...sold it a week later.

PEARL WHITE

If done right it looks amazing. It is not seen a lot because it cost a fortune to do right.

Re: need some advise pls help

I found my color by going out and looking at fabric at wal mart. I know it sounds stupid but napa or most paint places can shoot a swatch of fabric and it will tell them what colors are in it and you can find some killer colors out there. My fabric made the paint change colors in the sun......
