What to do with rear axle

So I'm swapping the HO52 axle out of my '67 C20 with a Dana 60. My questions is, what do I do with the old HO52? There is no market for those is there? Do I take it to a junkyard or a recycling place? Use it as a giant paper weight? What have you guys done with large parts like this?

Re: What to do with rear axle

I listed mine on CL for $50, but after a couple weeks with no calls I put in the free section as I needed the room. That same day I got several calls, the next day a couple guys picked it up.

if it has a no-spin, it's obviously worth more. you could probably get $100 out of it to the right person as-is, or give it away if you really wanted to be nice (and haha no, not interested in one that far away). if it had 4.11's it might be worth more, but 4.57s seem to not be the most sought-after.

If you were a little closer someone around here might take it off your hands.

What size drums does it have? Most likely 11" but if they are 12" send me a PM. Just look at the outer edge of the drum where it mates to the wheel, and it should tell you what size.
