If you have a small block in it, it'll be tipping the scales between 3700 - 4100 pounds.

The last time I weighed in at the recyclers the truck was 4200 lbs, minus my 200 lbs equals 2 tons on the nose. 1970 GMC longbox w/ stock 350 V-8. Yours should be around 3700 lbs.

nice damn truck czyl. btw is anyone interested in a 383 stroker with port/polish heads 1.94/1.50 matched to edelbrock performer intake with a 650 vac sec carb tuned to this motor perfectly. blueprinted, balanced, clearanced bottom end. Has forged aluminum pistons and h-beam rods, Bottom end could probably take a good bit of nitrous fairly easily. But in any effect its extrmely light rotating assembly. just finished break in on it. I have 2 cams and ill put in either one you like. It has a stock cam in it right now. It's a reall stump puller makin 280 horse and 430 ft lbs of tq. I also have a lunati cam 230/230 @.050 (292/292 actual) with .48/.48 lifts. This one would make 400 hp and 410 lbs of tq at 6,100 rpms. It also has a th350 TCI streetfighter build with a stage 2 shift kit and a stock stall converter. I think its one of the steeper 1st gears because its at more rpms at 30mph in first than one with a stock th350 with 3.73 gears and same tires. I got to sell this thing i figure a balanced and blueprinted 383 makin 400hp and a racing trans. is worth atleast 3500 or so. It's all new stuff. I have a lokar floor shift on the trans right now. I'll throw that in if it goes for 3500. im about to list it one EBAY, in the local paper, and taking it to a swap meet this weekend. It may not last through that meet though. 400hp balanced and blueprinted with a spec sheet and a racing trans is hard to come by for 3500.
email if you kow anyone interested please. This things gotta go. |

Mine weighed about 4040 with me in it. That is a 1/2 ton, lwb, with a 350/350 drivetrain. That puts it at about 3840 empty. These trucks weigh less then almost all new minivans, lol

When you weight it you might be surprised; I had a mini modified pulling tractor with a 500 Cadillac, not much heavier than a SBC whole lot lighter than a BBC. The tractor ready to run including driver has to weigh in under 1,550 Lbs.
