Motor Mounts!!!!
I put new motor mounts on my truck 10,000 miles ago, and the drivers side is already broken.
Is anybody running polyurethane mounts????? are the Polyurethane mounts any good!!!!! are there any other options that don't require pulling the engine???? has anyone made their own interlocking mounts???? 73+ mounts????? are they better???? how hard to install????

Re: Motor Mounts!!!!
'73 and later require you to change the engine towers. Not hard but most likely will require pulling the engine.
As for the Poly ones, I have bought them but haven't gotten the truck that far yet. I used them on my '69 Camaro and they worked great. Most likely the last ones you will ever buy. I believe they are interlocking but keep the stock mounting setup. I have read that some found the bolt that goes thru the tower into the mount is larger and you have to drill the tower hole bigger but I have not confirmed that myself. As for swapping them in, you can do one side at a time, placing a floor jack (with a piece of wood on top) under the oil pan and jack up the engine enough to swap them. Good luck.

Re: Motor Mounts!!!!
you will have to do some drilling to install 73+ nothing major, but you would be the king of kings if you did it with the motor in.
