Craig's List Aplenty! (Not mine)

This may be a member...seems like I have seen the "limo" pic before. 903 area code is NE Texas.

Re: Craig's List Aplenty! (Not mine)

He's an idiot. He was set up right across the aisle from me last swap meet. He doesn't want to sell anything. I think it's a power trip for him offering parts for sale then not selling them. All weekend, he sold not a thing. Not one single thing.

He did sell me a short fleetside bed. That does'nt make since not selling anything. From what I've seen he has some good parts.

I tried to buy items he had at the swap meet. He told me he was just showing them and couldn't sell them. He wanted me to call him.

it is actually 2 brothers...twin brothers
I bought a short fleet bed from them also....turned out it was a 60-62 bed so all the cross sills were wrong and I was never able to get him to respond to me again.....buyer beware is all I'm saying....

Re: Craig's List Aplenty! (Not mine)

Well, that's too bad - trying to pull a fast one on anyone, especially in this forum, is just dumb. Doesn't take long for the bad news to get around. Guess I'm not the sort that's a true carnivore that would try to shaft somebody for a few lousy bucks.

Re: Craig's List Aplenty! (Not mine)

First of all, need to set a few things straight. There are always two stories and everyone on here knows that. All of this truck stuff is a HOBBY and not my day job! I can not make everyone happy but I try to call and email everyone back. Joe231 call me if you have a problem with the bed and you know that I will make it right. I drove to Lousiana for 62 short step without he even paying me before I got there. Talked with him for over an hour and admired his 4x4 truck. Our goal out of all of this truck stuff is to meet good people, obtain trucks for ourselves, and pass on good trucks and parts so other people can build trucks. To tx firefighter, I was not trying to be rude or not sell you anything. The stuff that I had on my trailer and certain parts, people actually called and said that they were coming to the swap meet and picking up the parts. Now would it be fair if I sold it to the first person at the swap meet or hold the parts for the guy that said was coming to the swap meet? Just to let you know I sold $1,800.00 worth of parts the next week after the meet from people looking at the swap meet. It was a successful weekend in my eyes except for being 100+ all weekend. And the last item, we are still friends with the guy that everyone says he has screwed on 67-72 parts. He has never done me wrong, but do not hold me responsible for other peoples actions. We met him at a swap meet two years ago, just like we have met everyone else. I hate to have to write this in the first place, but I want to set things straight. Give me a call if you want come and take a look at the trucks I have or want to talk about trucks in general. You are more than welcome to come by.

Re: Craig's List Aplenty! (Not mine)

As far as the bed I got from you, that was a couple years back and you didn't seem to care much about it at the time. I have since sold that bed and got another one.

Take it how you would like but you dropped the ball with me and I don't have any intentions of dealing with you again.

Also if you would like to sell anything here you must be a supporting member.
if you aren't familiar with how to do that...here is a link

Re: Craig's List Aplenty! (Not mine)

I was required to become a Site Vendor, not a Site Supporter, since I was selling more than left-over parts from my own personal projects, so I bucked up and paid the piper, since I love this site so much and it is, by far, the best place for all things '60-'66 Chevy trucks related.

Re: Craig's List Aplenty! (Not mine)

Thanks Joe. I'm struggling, like everyone else. I haven't had any commercial construction projects for quite some time, so I have been relying solely on my truck stuff and working with my tools, to generate some cash flow. Other than that, all is well. Thanks for the hand-up.
