Anyone mini tubbed a step side?
I've been going thru the archives but can't find a pic of what I'm looking for. I've got a '67 short stepper that I want to mini tub, but all I'm finding are the fleetsides. I'd like to see how they attached the wheel tubs to the bedside and how it looks from inside the bed. Has anyone else done this?
Thanks. |

Re: Anyone mini tubbed a step side?
I bought a 67 that the PO had bolted fleetside tubs in. It took up alot of bed space. I took them out and had a guy cut them down to about 4 inches. I didn't have a welder then and he did it cheap. It looked great. They bolt on through holes in the bedside.

Did you have a wood floor or metal? Mine has the wood and was wondering how to get them attached to that also. If you find some pics, that would be great.
Thanks. |

Re: Anyone mini tubbed a step side?
Wood floor. You can bolt them on top of the floor just like they were on the metal bed. It will take a little more work to put the wood on top. Either way would look fine. Just decide which way it will be before you drill.

Re: Anyone mini tubbed a step side?
I never mini tubbed one.I back halved a`70 Stepside. The floor was steel from a Fleetside along with the wheel houses. It`s been sold for many tears and a don`t have pictures.I`d think you`d just cut the wood to fit.
