Hey, I just saw this....
Jason is correct.

I used A & A Dry strip (they came highly recommended by MuscleRods on here). they are a couple miles south of Frontier City. They used plastic media where there wasn't rust, and aluminum oxide on the rust. They did a good job. Having the cab blasted cost me $325.

A couple things I learned from the experience is before you have it blasted, you need to remove any bad panels, such as rockers, ect. And strip all the seam sealer and any tar, grease, or glue like substance off of whatever you need stripped.

Also if you need the frame or suspension (heavier metal) blasted, it is much cheaper to just have them sand blasted, and I got another recommendation from MuscleRodz to use Tri-City sand-blasting in the Tuttle area. I haven't used them yet, but plan to in the near future.

Sounds like a GREAT price...I was quoted about $600 in north texas...and $800 to have a cab chemically dipped (although that process removes rust in hidden areas)

I found mixed reviews about the chemical dip.
I have heard or read of some paint adhesion issues....
Dunno how valid of a concern it is.

I have had parts dipped before....no problems, it's great, just on the expensive side, and can take several weeks or more when they are backlogged.

the only problems I have heard of is where someone underestimated the amount of rust, like in hidden areas (think of the inside of a tube), and when all the rust is chemically removed, and piece can become thin and fragile.

my only question is how do you paint the unexposed areas? seems like you would need to dip it in some kind of primer/sealer to get in all the nooks and crannies.....
