Frame Swap question

I have been considering swapping my 72 GMC over to a new model late 70's early 80's 4x4 frame since they seem a bit more plentiful. What issues will I run into and what is required?? I know the cab mounts will have to be moved but what else? Oh and if you have pics that would be Freakin awesome!! Especially of the cab mounts being moved.

Re: Frame Swap question

I am moving this to the 4x4 forum. I think you will get a better response there.

Re: Frame Swap question

The wheelbases on long and shotbeds are somewhat different which means some frame cutting.

Re: Frame Swap question

Monte, are you still considering swapping to a later model frame? How plausible is it?
