ALL stepside's long and short bed only had wood floor's ,,,, now up in the late 80's when they started the flare sides they have metal bed floor's but all our 67 to 72 trucks had wood on the stepsides , and a choice of wood or metal on fleetsides ,,

All Stepsides and Fendersides are wood floor.(pre-88)
Sportsides are metal.(post`87)
Steel floors came along in`67 on Fleetsides and Widesides.

Re: did all short bed stepsides

Mine had that "out-in-the-weather-too-long-&-now-no-floor-at-all" option when I got it.

Sorta common on old farm stepsides.

A sheet of ugly (but tough & weather resistant) AdvanTech house subflooring, cut to fit & bolted-in. Been out in the weather for five years now, & still going strong.
