Need advice on Motor Purchase
I found an early 90's (not sure what year) 350 for really cheap. Not that interested in the motor, but the guy says it has all the pulleys brackets, ac pump, alternator, etc..
I am mainly interested in the Serpentine Setup off of it. I was told last night that early 90's wouldn't work, but I wanted to double check here and make sure.

Re: Need advice on Motor Purchase
I have a 91 on mine. I did have to use the pressure valve from the old pump so it would mate up to the stock hose. Also remember that its a reverse rotaion water pump so if you replce it you need to get one from that newer year. If your not using the A/C pump you can get an A/C delete pulley.

Re: Need advice on Motor Purchase
also you need to make sure you have the accessory holes in the heads to accommodate the serpentine setup.

Re: Need advice on Motor Purchase
I doubt the heads on my 307 have those holes. Gonna swap to some 305 vortec heads this winter so I might just wait until then to put the serp setup on. Thanks for the info guys.

Re: Need advice on Motor Purchase
Dave,
there is some good reading on Serp belts in the below thread. I ended up going with a serp. setup off of a '94 burb, it bolted up fine (pics in the '67 build ). http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=233335

Guess all there is left to do is go pick this motor up. $125 for the motor and all the serp brackets, ac pump, etc... He says it has good oil pressure.
