No, and I'm not sure, whatever came in them new

every cam is built to do something different so what is your cam rated at rpm wise.

What type of rods do you have H-beam rods aluminum rods or stock

what type of pistons are you using forged, hyperutechtic, stock
hyper

what is their bob weight
?

what kind of crank do you have cast or steal
Cast

What is the weight of you crank.
Whatever a stock one weighs

Is you engine balanced from the machine shop.
Yes!

what carb are you using and how is it jetted
800CFM Qjet, 76 54M Rods, K hanger, Custom cut secondary rods

what spark plugs are you using
Bosch Platinum cross referenced autolite 3926

do you have full length headers or block huger headers
Full

do you have a lightened drive shaft.
No

are you using slicks or drag radials.
Slicks, 26x9 20PSI

are you setting your rear tire pressure up before you do a run in other words setting it up to make a launch and make the truck go straight.

also is your cam timing set up normal or 3 degrees advanced or 3 degrees retard timing
Cam timing is normal

If you will take the time to answer all of this I will be able to tell you what you need do do to get better 1/8 mile times or 1/4 mile times

Ok your pistons are good only for about 150 shot of nitros

you need to get your slicks air pressur down to about 10-12 psi

try 10 on the drivers side and 12 on the otherside

any more rpms, and you will start to get valve flot this is when the springs don't have enough pressure to close fast. so you are losing horse power.

get your machine shop to advance your cam three degrees.

if you want to run nitros go with a digital 6al box that away you can flip a switch to change the spark from straight motor to nitros .

also if you are just running straight motor try setting you timming on 34 degrees.

I'm not into going the NOS route, but I did have a long talk with Harold (who designed the Lunati cam I was looking at...)

He told me the 401A3LUN would make more power everywhere over the 270H, and pull to 6500 without a problem with the valve springs I have.
