Depends on the transmission: TH350 is mechanical and TH400 is electrical, unless you go with a custom setup like I did which looks mechanical from the carb, but actuates a switch mounted on the frame...
I can snap a pic of my custom setup, but it may be a while before I can get it to you (no digital camera good enough...).

On the same topic, does anyone have a GM part number for a kick down cable use with a 350 engine, 350 trans. & Quadrajet 4 barrel carb. I don't know how to find the # or length required. Thank you!

If it's for a 350, it bolts to the left side rear of the manifold. You can get them at the car and truck shop. http://www.truckandcarshop.com/
