Thanks for the complement I need all those I can get. Some days is harder than others to keep going but I am making it a priority to get this thing done.

By day I work in IT and by night I am a mechanic, carpenter, cook, Gardner, metal fab worker, designer, engineer, father what ever it takes to get it done.

Don't get me wrong I have had some help on this thing in a couple of areas just to make sure that I'm not screwing it up, but I have done 99% of the work myself.

Good grief thats alot of technical work. Keepin everthing in line and lookin good...WOW!

Ive never seem it done that way, but having just replaced the floor, inner and out rockers that seem to be far superior for finished look and strength . I would bet anyway. Nice work. Changing floors and rockers SUCK!

Yes it is a lot of work but I think it is well worth it, my floor was in worse shape than the pics I posted show, the whole floor was just about gone the floor braces that run front to rear were gone beyond repair and the whole lip around the fire wall was gone it was there but in really bad shape the rear cab mount and bracing was badly damaged and needed a lot if custom fab since they dont make any repair parts for that area of the floor that i have been able to find so far

so the floor replacement was the best way to go and I can truly say that the floor is truly rust free and once Im finished the whole cab minus a few hard to reach areas will be treated and as rust free as anyone can get it and well worth the extra time

Well starting to get back on it after being laid up for awhile and then the Hoildays came up so that stops everything.

Got the Back wall repair welds ground down and all the welding inside the cab done too. I still have several things to complete before I can say that I'm done with the cab.

I have a some repairs in the door jambs and and then replacing the roof panel and two custom mods that I will show once I get there I hope they work out anyway here are some pics of the progress.

Starting to fit the Driver side Air box and and making sure that I get the mouthing holes it the right place before welding it place.

Got the Driver side Air box back on and now ready for grinding down all my welds across the front cowl. Once I have that completed I'm off to fixing some near rust through in the door jambs on both the passenger side and the driver side.

The Driver side Drip rail will be replaced soon, I also need a passenger side Drip Rail if some one happens to have one let me know.

Thanks, I'm trying to keep progress going.

I have heard that removing the drip rails can cause water to come in through the doors this may be more prominent once the door seal wears, but it is only what I have heard. I would love to hear from anyone who has removed the drip rails and can comment.

It's possible. I'm taking my chances. There are plenty of other areas the water could infiltrate. Mine doesn't leak at all right now even with no glass installed.

I haven't had a rain storm in the garage in over 2 years, but as soon as it does Ill let you know if mine leaks.

Thanks, some days it takes a lot to get out there and keep on it & I also have some great inspiration from watching Alan make progress on Vitamin C.

Thanks Chief, yes I do love these old trucks, if I had a place where I could keep a few I probably would have a whole yard full of them, I find them around here all the time and some for great prices.

Wow.. better than me... I didn't even attempt the metal work on mine. But you are motivating me for my next project to give it a go.. nice work!!

Thank You! After a year and a half...the interior still needs to be complete after the exahust is done tomorrow.. but at least I can finally drive it again
