I don't know if it ever got off the ground. There was someone trying to start something and I remember seeing a notice about a gathering somewhere. I didn't get there and I haven't seen anything about it since. If you find out more, let me know.
There are usually a couple of our vintage trucks at Pony Corral on Pembina on Sunday nights and I think it was there that I saw the notice about it.

One of the guys that was involved was Cameron from Oakbank. Have his contact information at home. He is also a member of this board. Haven't talked to him since last summer, but think they were having trouble getting the club off the ground. Will send him an e-mail if I can find his e-mail address.

I'd be interested, but I won't have the truck on the road this year. I'd be sporting the 3-0-Deuce Merc.:canada

The guy with the yellow 71 or 72 is Radical Cam on this board.
As for the club that they were trying to start up I think it was a couple older guys(30's ??? , yah real old :p) one with a 67 and the other I don't know what year it is but one of the trucks is a dark blue and I think the other one is black or white, anyways it goes back a couple years that they were trying to start that up. I have a kept a flyer that they were handing out, its somewhere around here I will see if I can find it, only problem is I wouldnt know where to begin looking. Actually just yesterday I was thinking it would be cool to have a forum or at least a website for Winnipeg 67-72 owners, but I just don't have the time to do all that myself. Actually last night I was thinking the same thing, I hang out at http://www.pegcitycruzin.ca and I was thinking that I could ask them if there was a possiblity of getting a little section just for us. |

Ok guys, I have the wheels in motion. Check out http://www.pegcitycruzin.ca there is a section there in the forum for us!!!!!
So I guess if you're not already signed up to that site that would be the first step. One question, now what do we do, and who wants to help? Oh btw, don't feel left out GMC guys, I forgot to ask them to call it the Chevy GMC area. I will see about getting that fixed. Last edited by Gee_Emm; 04-16-2003 at 04:20 PM. |

Maybe set up a Sunday Night Cruise Meet & Greet type of thing, like all meet up at Ass Park & go for a cruise after or something like that? What do you think?

Yeah there was me and a few other guys that were trying to start a club but it just never got anywhere. It was hard to try to get people to meet or to want to do something together like a cruise or meeting somewhere for a barbeque or something like that. I am still interested in starting something if there are enough people from around the Winnipeg area that would like to try to get something going. I can try to help out with some things to get something organized. I think it would be a good idea to get a club going in Manitoba. Over last summer we had about 15 different people that might have been interested from around the winnipeg area. We even got our club thing put in the summer events schedule if you look in the MAAC booklet.
