8 Lugs to 6 Lugs

I am looking at buying a CST-20 pickup all orginal. It has 8 lug wheels and I was just wondering if anyone knew if those could be converted to 6 and what exactly would be involved? I know I would have to change the spindels but would I have to replace the entire rear end?

moving this one to the truck forum too.
You would want to swap out the rear end if nothing else, just for the better gearing and being able to get everything needed for a complete brake job.
I would consider 5 lug though personally

Re: 8 Lugs to 6 Lugs

Thanks for moving this. I didn't realize I was in the wrong thread.

My problem is that I have set of 6 lug Rally wheels sitting in my basement I would LOVE to use.

So I could swap out the rear end and I could swap out the front spindles correct?
