I have seen some of those trucks with the 14 bolt semi-floating axle and some have the regular 1/2 ton 10 bolt axle. Just curious which one you have?

Why not just break out a tape measure and measure the perches, width ...etc? Last edited by vtblazer; 10-29-2009 at 06:52 PM. |

Re: 06' Silverado SS Rear-end (Diff.) swap.
i know that rear is a direct swap into a 98 body style but not sure on the older ones. most likely it's a 3.73 rear.
also that truck is AWD

Re: 06' Silverado SS Rear-end (Diff.) swap.
and I will tell you now, it won't bolt right in. The spring perches are at a different width plus your u-joints aren't the same. It isn't hard to make it fit though, weld on some new spring perches and get an "adapter" ujoint and you are good to go.
