Transmsn/trans case seal... Help!

I was referred to a local shop to have them put a new seal between my transmsn and trans case because the trans case was overflowing and stuff. Anyway I just called to check on my baby and the guy said the part they got from the local chevy dealer wasn't the right one and he couldn't find the right one... Good god. Anyone know the proper name or where I can get one quick. I did a quick look on-line with no luck because I don't know what it's called. Any info would help. The shop is still looking but I'd like a back-up plan.
Thanks

Once he has the seal out it will have numbers that can be cross-referenced if the part doesn't show up. I just got seals for my Rockwell and its adapter - if those are available yours for your adapter off your NP205 will definitely be available. Any good tranny shop should have them available. No special name, just tell them it's the seal on the tranny side of the adapter. I would replace the seal on the transfer case side while they have access to it.

There are two seals in the transmission(TH350) to T-case(NP205) adapter. Both are the same size. Any of these below will work. The first is the GM part number if I remember right. There is also a O-ring on the T-case input shaft that should be replaced at the same time along with gaskets. Check the adapter over real carefully....they have a tendency to crack.

National 3919309
National 471424
CR-19760 or CR-19762.... CR=Chicago Rawhide

Big tendency to crack. I've never seen a used one that wasn't cracked.

You may also want to consider replacing the drive sleeve. The sleeve couples the tranny output shaft to the transfer case input shaft. It rides around on the seals you are trying to find. Similar to the harmonic balancer you can get a groove worn into the sleeve that could end up leaking through your new seals.
