left rear lower than right rear... 2 inches

i noticed this problem and it seems to be getting worse. i have lowering springs. 5 inch ones from classic industries i think. the driver side tucks the tire a bit and the right rear has wheel gap. the bed is bolted on all the way and i have the rear centered with an adjustable track arm.

simply put you think it's in the coil spring quality?

Re: left rear lower than right rear... 2 inches

I had the same problem and found out that the frame had a slight bend right by the coil spring pad. Get under the truck and measure the spring with the weight on it, trailing arm to frame and you might find the problem. I tried another set of coils [ Moog springs] and had the same problem right to the same inch. At first i thought it was the trailing arms but the new set had the same problem. I hope this helps because it took me hours on the alignment rack measuring suspension heights to figure this out.

Re: left rear lower than right rear... 2 inches

i cut my front coils a whole coil for 2 inches. they appear equal.

i just did my c-notch and had this unlevelness problem before and after the job. i didn't notice anything out of square while doing the labor on the frame.

here's some ground to fender centerline measurments.

Front ---- L 28" ----- R 28"
Rear ---- L 27" ----- R 29"

Swap the springs left to right. If the measurements swap, its your springs, if not, you probably have a frame issue...

strongly agree with hartrod....wont cost you any money...if you swap the springs from one side to the other and the problem went to the other side...then trash the springs because thats obviously the problem...just some labor but hey atleast you wont have to buy a new set of springs just to check for the problem, if you have to buy new set you will already know they are going on the truck...

sawzall and about 5 minutes a coil.. the thing is though the truck is level in front, not even a quarter inch difference to tweak the rear that bad.

another note, i'm using a blazer tank in the center of the frame.

Re: left rear lower than right rear... 2 inches

it's just something to look out for..we scale the race car and which ever wheel needed it we would add wedge or take it out..basicly the weight one wheel carries will affect the how the car handles

Re: left rear lower than right rear... 2 inches

A simple question, but I have to ask....

Were the rear springs the same height before installing? Sometimes when you order a 5" spring there's an opportunity for them to send you different spring heights.

Swap the springs from side to side and if the height difference changes sides... I'd call CPP. If it stays on the same side, measure the frame.

Re: left rear lower than right rear... 2 inches

rear springs appeared equal and it slowly got worse. a year ago the truck was level, then i noticed lately when coating my tires i couldn't get to the driver side as easy as the passenger side.
