keep S 10 ABS?
I am using the complete S10 harness and even the instrument cluster. it is a 96 model with a 4.3. has anyone kept the anti lock brakes, or is it just easier to delete it?

It's quite a bit easier to delete it. My 95 with a 4.3 had the big module on the ds fender. I removed that and also removed the wheel speed sensors on the front wheels. You will have a check engine light unless you re-program though.

how did you reroute the brake lines to the porportioning valve?

Man, keep your ABS if you have room for the components. Would be so much safer! I am reworking the wiring for the 4.3 I am using. The ABS had been trashed when I got the engine and stuff. It actually would have been MUCH easier to use the wiring harness if I had been able to use the ABS setup.
Also, when was the last time walking around a car show you saw anybody that had ABS on a street rod? |
