Another Summit brand part surprise - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I ordered a set of simulators for my dually.

Summit brand are 104 per set.
Phoenix brand are 193 per set.

Due to my past pleasant experiences with Summit house brand parts, I chose them. They arrived via Fedex yesterday. First thing I notice when I unbox them in the Phoenix stickers on the back of each piece. I saved 89 dollars and got the exact same parts.

This goes along with their brand of suspension lowering stuff being Ground Force and their cylinder heads being Dart. All at significant savings over the true name brand parts.

This is something like my 200th order from Summit. Every time, good service and quality parts.

edit: I put this here due to the high traffic this section gets compared to the review board.

sorry for the hijack, but Summit's brand drop coils (which are priced quite well) are really Bell Tech's ($$$$$). shhhhhhh!

gotta love Summit. great service and ships fast!

tcb, they are Ground Force. I've used probably 6 sets of them in the last 10 years. I just put these in my 63 farm truck build.

The Summit brand heads on my 327 are Dart Iron Eagles.

I buy from summit all the time and have for years. What I love is how fast I get parts from them....usually 2-3 days rather than a week or two from other places.

Didn't you order a fuel pump really cheap, and it ended up being an edelbrock?

I've always had good experiences when dealing with Summit as well. Their website is easy to get around too. I just got my Summit mandrel bends today to make a tailpipe for my 63.

Not me. I always use cheap parts store mechanical fuel pumps on my junk. I'm no hot rodder anymore.

i am a Summit fan also. I use their brand on most everything I order. I have had one bad experience in tons $$$ stuff I have ordered. I got a Summit brand set of lifters once and a couple would not pump up and of course the tech department 'knew' everything I did wrong from 2K miles away. LOL. We had a couple sparring sessions on the phone and then they replaced them on their shipping dime. I have been more than pleased with the parts, and especially the savings....Scott

Just a side note on Summit or any other parts supplier. After ordering $100+ in parts, I called in a order with a goal in mind. When they asked if I needed anything else I then hinted that they should send me a free t-shirt based on the $ amount that I had spent with them. I then asked them to look at my history account $ amount. They looked it up & asked what size I wanted & what color. FYI, I haven't ordered that much from Summit, so far!! Howard

Forgot to mention that. I have them too. Summit Sport Truck Shocks equals Doestch Tech shocks in a plain white box.

Guess I'll jump on this train too. I ordered a set of Torque Thrust D's for my '80 stepper, got what I ordered and they were the wrong bolt pattern. (My bad) Called them up to get a return slip, and recieved the new set of wheels in less time then it would have taken for them to recieve and inspect my returns. I'm convinced they passed in the mail.
It's probably a good thing I don't live within driving distance of their store!

They also offer an adjustable proportioning valve with a Summit sticker on it. If you take the sticker off, it is a Wilwood valve. Here is the P/N: SUM-G3905
