I have a 1987 suburban I am lowering. I already put drop spindles in the front and shackles in the rear. Sits about level. I think I want 2" lower. I want to drop the rear some more but do not a flip kit or pull a leaf out or dropped leaves.. Anyone moved your front hanger upwards to drop the rear?? Does anyone make a drop hanger for a burb? I got the front covered. Ideas?

Tony= I haven't seen it done on a Burb, but you can move front and rear hanger up. You will need to pull them and cut the top off a bit to clear, drill new holes, etc.

If you just move the front hanger, you are probably going to have pinion angle issues. I don't know if degree shims will compensate enough or not.

Ken, I have thought about doing that but, that dam body mount is smack dab in the middle of that hanger. I am probably going to cut it and move it up...the hanger that is. Going to trim the body mount also.

you can do a 2" shackle if you mess with the filler hoses some
may be best bet and easy

Already put drop shackles on it. Needs to go a little lower.

Return to stock shackles and install a flip instead? you should get about 5 inch drop with a flip and it would need almost no fab work.

what he said, and if you have welding skills just buy a set of the axle saddles and weld them on the bottom of the axle and it is a cheap flip!

I put a flip kit on it and then took it off. 6" flip plus saggy suburban rear springs...I didn't want it that low. Going to move the front hanger up sometime soon and see what happens
