Our Own Parts Section?
What do you guys think?
Would it be helpful to have a K5 specific parts for sale section? If you think so, you can post your input here in site feedback: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=371714 Last edited by vtblazer; 11-13-2009 at 07:47 AM. |

Re: Our Own Parts Section?
I say yes, I know this issue has come up before and I am just happy to have this Board when I get the chance to get on. I know I have missed opportunities to buy parts where the posts quickly went to the 2nd or 3rd page because of the amount of posts that come on and I didn't have the time to go all the way through all the posts searching which is what I do every morning 1st page later if I get a chance search deeper

Re: Our Own Parts Section?
Another thing we could do is ask for permission to post for sale items (blazer specific) in the blazer /jimmy forum. This forum is not a fast mover like the trucks forum and would be alot easier to keep track of your for sale posts.Just an idea...

Re: Our Own Parts Section?
I thought about that too, and personally, I like this idea better, but the problem is if one forum is allowed to do it, then the others will want the same priviledge, and it snowballs.

Re: Our Own Parts Section?
Bump from the bottom.
Just a guess but having only 13 people from the blazer/jimmy forum isn't going to get us our own parts board. Remember, it's up to us. |

Re: Our Own Parts Section?
Someone with a better memory than I will hopefully chime in. Several years ago we had the blazer section and parts ads were put in there. Then they upgraded and system and changed. This came up once before and people started Bitc--- And they locked everyone out of the Blazer Forum. Maybe thats why

I forget the 'exact' reason we got shut down but I do remember it happening, others may jump in with better memories than ours and fill us in. Along with all the new changes came our new status as a 'sub-forum' to the truck section, given that placement, seems almost natural to also have a sub-forum for blazers/jimmies in the parts area too. Re: Our Own Parts Section?
My memory isn't the greatest either, but I think someone started complaining about not being able to do this and that in the blazer section, and running down the board and the way it was being handled. Several others joined in and so the whole blazer section was closed. NOT the way to get something that you want. VT is doing it the right way.(Thanks VT) Time will tell.

Re: Our Own Parts Section?
I would be in for a blazer specific section. There are times when I am looking for specific parts, and I don't really want to troll through 3-4 pages in the parts section every day as i tend to miss stuff.

Re: Our Own Parts Section?
I am for a separate parts thread. Being new to the blazer thing I'm learning to use the search function more. Would be much easier in a blazer parts forum or sub-forum.

The reason the Blazer/Jimmy forum was locked was out of complete disrespect for the rules of the forum along with the Forum Staff when they attempted to enforce those rules. A few members decided the Blazer/Jimmy section was their own private forum and they could run it as they saw fit. When a well respected Staff member insisted they follow the guidelines, they decided to stage a little rebellion. That resulted in a closed forum. If you want the staff to consider changes, asking in a positive manner as you have done here gets the option considered. Taking matters in your own hands does not.
