Jacks (the ones that fit in the back corner of the cabs)
Does anyone have pics or information about the jacks that were located in the rear of the cab on the passenger side by the gas tanks?
What type of jack it was......what all was located there?......tiretool, etc? Thanks, Greg |

It was a screw-jack, with a two-piece (or folding) handle, in a bag which I think was a sort of foam.... hmmmm, haven't seen one in a long time.

I still have a jack and handle back there, no bad though. Looked like a screw jack the one time I glanced at it.
I just keep a floor jack in the toolbox mounted to the bed. |

I'm gonna go scour my wrecking yard to see if I can find those.

Anyone know if they used that in GM cars of that era? I swear I saw two of those at a garage sale this summer but passed them up. DOH!

Re: Jacks (the ones that fit in the back corner of the cabs)
I have one similiar in my GMC except mine isn't a screw-type. Did they make more than one type?

Re: Jacks (the ones that fit in the back corner of the cabs)
I know Chevelle jacks are different. I believe I have 2 or 3 of these old truck ones out in our barn. I have never worried about putting one back in my truck for the noise of bouncing around. Trevor
