Henrob 2000 Welding and Cutting Torch
Anyone ever used one of these?
http://www.cut-like-plasma.com/index.htm I've been thinking about getting a TIG welder to do sheet metal work, because I'm tired of grinding the h*ll out of hard MIG welds and tacks every time I do any sheet metal work. Seems like a good option, a little easier to use than a traditional torch, less expensive and more versatile than a TIG.. Last edited by big dump; 11-16-2009 at 04:52 PM. Reason: imbedded link |

I have used them. If you want to gas weld, you will love it! Plus you will have nice soft hammerable welds. These have been around for many, many, years under different names. They are very easy to use, and like you said, VERY versatile. You won't be disappointed if you buy one.

Re: Henrob 2000 Welding and Cutting Torch
Good info. I saw them on another board, seems to be a lot of discussion going on about them right now, figured I'd try and get some guys to chime in on here. Seems like a good, useful tool to have rather than a torch, and a TIG welder, and a plasma cutter, etc. Could be a good way to round out a home garage shop.

I have one and think as close as you're going to get to tig welding without a tig welder. The learning curve on these are pretty steep just so you know. I only use it for thin sheetmetal and things i dont mind being warped.
Good luck
