Hi 816allen I know there are some sound bites on u-tube just google for them. I have heders on my I-6 with purple hornnies on mine the kind that bolt onto the headers and they are loud right now because i don.t have the tail-pipes on it yet. My neiober came over and said "WoW" what are you running in that old truck?. If you are just running a single pipe it won't sound much different no matter what muffler you run, just louder or quiteiter. If you lower you truck watch for clearance problems if you go with headers, of course in the old days we used to split the exhaust manifold because the didn't have headers then. Good luck wth your project it's come a long ways.---Vernski

Currently my truck has a Flow, split out the back...sounds ok. It came with a fairly new exhaust system that I plan on getting rid of.

I plan on running a split header with dual packs out the back.

I've got headers with cherry bombs. Everyone asks whats in it. I tell them It's a V8 minus a few pistons.

I have a single 35" Smithy's muffler on my otherwise stock exhaust. Verrrry mellow sounding.
