67-68 grille molding install question

Hey everybody, how do I install the chrome grille bars on my 67-68 style grille? There are 2 of them, I have the clips, which I bought new. I just need to know how I install the pieces without breaking any of them. Can I bend the little metal wing thingys on the clips? Any help is appreciated, I just don't want to ruin the clips in the process of trying to figure this out. Thanks again

Re: 67-68 grille molding install question

You should not have to bend anything. The curved wire part should flex and allow you to insert them into the molding and then the spring tension of the wire will hold the clips in the molding.
